Well, well, well… Turns out “Fay” made landfall as a Tropical Storm, fortunately not as a Hurricane. And she’s slowly making her way RIGHT towards my friends and family in Brevard County, FL.
You know on a map of Florida, there’s a little “notch” sticking out on the right side, about halfway down? Those are called the “barrier islands” officially, but I call ‘em “Home Sweet Home.” Cocoa Beach and the surrounding areas, ladies and gentlemen.
Fortunately, it looks like it shouldn’t be too bad… More messy than dangerous, which is always a plus. Still, think happy thoughts for our peeps in Florida, m’kay?

working a double at work:( bored and not making money.
Flooded on the way to work, flooded in the parking lot at work, almost didn’t make it home because my street has become a river……this damn storm is a pain in the ass. Actually has done alot more damage than some hurricanes have, it won’t leave…..likes to linger, stay stationary for a few hours dumping inches upon inches of rain then move 3 mph to the next city to do the same. My boss drove me home from work, I had to walk 3 blocks in water up to my knees so he didn’t stall his truck in my neighborhood. Fortunatley, our house is a bit higher than the road. Here’s to hoping the rain stops before it invades our house! I hope everyone else in Brevard is doing well and is staying dry!
