I had the PRIVILEGE of seeing Disney/Pixar’s new animated release, “Up” last night at the Epicentre Theaters. I had been excited, having seen and adored the previews for it (SQUIRREL!) but wasn’t prepared for how great it would be.
This movie knows how to push your buttons. It’s cliche, I know, but it literally had people laughing, crying, cheering, gasping, etc. There was even one notable moment when an audience member burst out laughing while sipping from his drink, sending his beverage spewing across the entire row. (Thanks, Sal!)
If you’ve ever been a fan of any of the Pixar or Dreamworks animated films (Shrek, A Toy Story, WALL-E, etc) then you absolutely must go see this movie. It’s BRILLIANTLY written, with enough variety to entertain small kids, teenagers, and adults of all ages. I found myself grinning idiotically throughout half the film.
