We leave for our Miami Invasion in two days, and it’s going to be a remarkable trip for a number of reasons. Like many of our group adventures, we’ve got people from different places meeting up for a reunion trip in a specific place… Five of us are flying down from Charlotte, at least two are driving down from Central Florida, and a handful of South Florida friends will be down there waiting for us. What will be different is the size and scope of the agenda.
Which is virtually non-existent.
Seriously, we have NO activities planned. No shows, no tours, no pre-planned meals at specific locations. The only thing we have actually scheduled is picking up a rental car early Tuesday morning to drive down to Key West, and spending about 26-28 hours there before returning back to Miami.
This is virtually unprecedented for me, as I normally am the Cruise Director for our trips. Normally I have things planned out, tickets purchased, and times laid out for when we need to be where. I will probably be a little frazzled, having total freedom of schedule and no expectations.
Looks like I’ll be breaking out the suntan lotion and catching up on a lot of reading! Who knew vacations could be restful and leisurely?
