We’ve got a resort in Miami Beach for the entire week, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we have to stay here the entire time. So a couple of us had decided to take a mid-week road trip down to Key West.
There’s been a change of plans.
As we settled in Sunday evening, we were all enjoying the fact that we had no agendas, no expectations, no requirements to be somewhere at a specific time… So we decided to bail on the Key West trip.
We would’ve spent about three hundred dollars on the travel (between rental car, hotel, gas, and parking) and about six hours on the road, roundtrip. And we would’ve only been on the ground in Key West for about eighteen hours. Three hundred bucks and six hours of travel is, in retrospect, a pretty big commitment for such a short stay.
So, Key West, we’re postponing our visit. Expect us another time, when we can stay longer and appreciate you more fully.
