Damn the torpedoes…

We’re on the plane, enjoying our free upgrade to First Class. We’ll be in the air shortly, drinking excessively at something-thousand feet, and on our way to an adventure in Cancún.

What’s special about this trip is that we’re travelling by ourselves, and we’re not headed somewhere to visit people we know. This time, it’s just us, for four days.

We’ve honestly never done this before, in all of our many travels together.

It couldn’t come at a better time — work is gearing up to be CRAZY for the next few weeks, and to say yesterday was a stressful day at home would be an understatement. Sal and I need this vacation.

We’re not going to drink the water, we’re avoiding unfiltered ice, and we’re brushing our teeth with bottled water. We’re keeping our cash split up into chunks and storing them in different places, and we’re locking our passports in the hotel room safe. Don’t worry.

Here’s the scary thing: we my not have Internet access during our trip, and our iPhones will have to stay on Airplane Mode to avoid crazy data roaming fees.

Jesus, I think I’m more afraid of that than I am of Montezuma’s Revenge.

Vacation blogs will be posted upon my return, faithful readers.

¡Vamos a Cancún!

Since you’re flying, shouldn’t it be “Damn the missiles, full throttle”?
