October is a certified Big Gay Month for me… This evening I head down to Orlando for the 2009 Out & Equal Workplace Summit, where I’ll be representing my employer (along with about a dozen others) and learning more about how major companies can support equality for LGBT people in the workplace. Then next week, I’m attending the Reaching Out LGBT MBA Conference in Atlanta, helping my employer recruit LGBT MBA students on the verge of graduating and looking for a new career with a progressive company.
That’s a whole lotta professional gays. It’s reassuring to me, though, that my employer (and clearly, many other major companies) make such a commitment to diversity in their employee base, and that being a gay man doesn’t mean I have to worry (as much as in years past, anyway) about limited career opportunities.
All this talk about successful gay professionals reminded me of something I saw awhile back:
That is all.
