Olbermann v. Limbaugh and Robertson

I’ve shared brilliant speeches and “soap boxes” from Keith Olbermann before, first about his opposition to Proposition 8 and later about his opposition to our military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. He’s not merely a straight-ally advocate for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgender (LGBT) people, however — it turns out he’s my personal hero.

You quite simply MUST view his response to Pat Robertson blaming the earthquake in Haiti on a “pact with the devil” and to Rush Limbaugh for accusing President Obama of taking political advantage of the catastrophe with African Americans:

Mr. Olbermann’s closing remarks sum it up pretty nicely:

“Mr. Robertson, Mr. Limbaugh: your lives are not worth those of the lowest, meanest, poorest of those victims still lying under that rubble in Haiti tonight. You serve no good; you serve no God. You inspire only stupidity and hatred, and I would wish you to Hell, but knowing how empty your souls must be for you to be able to say such things in a time of such pain, I suspect the vacant purposeless lives you both live now are Hell enough already.”

Holy shit, Keith Olbermann. That was absolutely poetic.

One Response to Olbermann v. Limbaugh and Robertson

  1. Preston says:

The only good thing about bigots is on account of their inbreeding they will ultimately die out, but these two should real slither back under the rock they share.
