Down’s Syndrome episode of Family Guy on Hulu

My most recent GatorUptown.com entry, about this week’s Family Guy episode and its offensive portrayal of a character with Down’s Syndrome, has apparently been pretty popular (based on the hit count!) So because I’m a helpful guy, and because I recently discovered how freakin’ AWESOME Hulu.com is, here are the clips in question:

Stewie’s musical – Down’s Syndrome Girl

Chris takes the girl in question out on a date

The epic conclusion to the Big Date

Or, if you want to just watch it here, here’s the entire episode and the relevant time portions:

Stewie’s musical “Down’s Syndrome Girl”
10:18 to 13:38

Chris takes the girl in question out on a date
15:38 to 16:21

The epic conclusion to the Big Date
18:34 to 19:45

You know, after I watch it a second time, my shock value is greatly diminished. It’s still offensive, yes. It’s still in ridiculous poor taste, without question. But my jaw didn’t drop this time, and I didn’t gasp out loud this time. It’s funny – and a little alarming – how immune we can get to offense when it’s repeated, isn’t it?
