Clash of the Titans, again

I’ve posted already about the upcoming remake of Clash of the Titans, the 1981 classic movie centering around Greek mythology. I’m sadly fully prepared to accept that it will probably end up being terrible, just ‘because the original holds such a place in people’s hearts.

Still, I can’t freakin’ wait to see it. Especially after this trailer:

Yes, I’m bound to be disappointed… Remakes of beloved movies almost never pan out. But as Burgess Meredith said (playing Ammon) in the original film almost twenty years ago: “Oh impetuous… foolish… Ah dear, the young. Why do they never listen? When will they ever learn?”

As remake casts go, they’ve got a solid line-up in place at least. Sam Worthington as Perseus, Ralph Fiennes as Hades, and LIAM MOTHERFUCKING NEESON as Zeus… Maybe there’s hope after all?

Please, please, please don’t fuck this up.
