I’ve shamelessly stolen yet another piece from “How to Suck at Facebook” and posted it here for your viewing pleasure. This one cracks me up, and though it’s a bit more mean than some of the others, I can’t resist sharing it.
I bring to you… the Facebook rash:
I almost didn’t post this, because it’s insulting to some of the people that I’m Facebook friends with… The truth is, it doesn’t bother me in the least when people pay attention to my page and make comments about it. In fact, I’m touched that people find my page interesting enough to bother following.
Frankly, I think a bit of Facebook stalking is a great way to keep in touch with people that you might not normally speak with often. There are folks that I hear from on Facebook that I would rarely think to pick up the phone and call, especially if they’re people that live far away or folks that I had a limited connection with years ago, but it’s still nice to see the occasional comment or “like” that tells me they’re interested in what’s going on with my life.
And of course, it does wonders for my ego. But you knew that already, didn’t you?
