I’ve ranted and raved about how much I love the U.S. National Whitewater Center many times, online and in person, so I won’t go into exhaustive detail about how awesome it is. Suffice it to say, my investment in a 2010 annual pass was money very well spent.
As with last year, there’s a discount if you purchase the pass before December 31st for the next year. This year, however, the price has gone up a little — the early bird special is actually the “regular” 2010 price, and the price once we’re past New Year’s is a bit more expensive this year.
All the more reason to buy your pass now! If you plan on going to the Whitewater Center three times in 2011, you’re better off buying the annual pass than purchasing them individually. THREE TIMES, people! I’ve had individual weeks where I’ve gone more than three times.
And of course, the great thing about having an annual pass is that you’re much more likely to pick up and go on a whim, because you don’t have to consider whether you want to spend $50 just to raft once or twice and go home. Got a few hours to kill and an annual pass? GO RAFTING!
Naturally there are plenty of other things to do with your pass, from kayaking on the calm river waters surrounding the center, to rock climbing, hiking through the woods, biking on the trails, etc. Check this out:
Ultimately, it will be the most entertaining $150 you spend all year. Buy your pass now!
