Research request

Hi team! A long-time reader of GatorUptown.com (and friend of the blogger) is in a Master’s program and is conducting a survey as part of her graduate research. She needs more than 100 experienced professionals to respond to this survey… and I’m hoping that some of my readers will be kind enough to help.

Please see below for the formal request:

Hello:

As Graduate Students at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, we are conducting a survey on impression management and resumes/LinkedIn profile creation habits. Specifically, we are looking at how professionals and job seekers make a first impression with their resumes and/or LinkedIn profiles. In order to participate in our study, you must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have a current LinkedIn profile (updated within the past 5 years)
  • Have a current resume (updated within the past 5 years)

If you meet all of the above criteria, we invite you to participate in this study. It will take 15-20 minutes to complete the online survey, which consists of an opening statement and five online questionnaire pages. Please read each question carefully before responding, as some questions may appear similar but vary by one word.

To access the survey, click here – or paste the following URL into a browser: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JDLZ2VD

This study is approved through the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Institutional Review Board and the approval number is #13-02-35.

Your participation is completely voluntary and anonymous. No one will know that you have participated.

We greatly appreciate your time and willingness to be involved in this research.
